Yes that just happened….Two posts in one day

There is a first time for everything and that first today is two posts in one day. We just had to post about our dinner tonight. At first Joelle and I were just going to be boring and do our usual dinner (chicken and veggies). Well we threw that out the window. I mean come on, we have a reputation to hold up to. So we got some new things coming your way. First thing, what was our protein for tonight? Joelle has had the idea of doing some sort of meatballs for a long time. On our way home from Naperville earlier today we did some research and found a good one. We went with another recipe from Paleomg. The recipe is called southwest meatballs with a creamy cilantro dipping sauce. We used ground turkey for the recipe. We just haven’t had ground turkey in a while and wanted to switch it up. You can use whatever ground meat you would like.  Here is the link to that:
While at the grocery store we were also thinking of our sides for dinner. We have also been talking about trying rutabaga one of these times. With the rutabaga we went with a french fry cut. We also found a new seasoning combination for the fries and I think this one is a winner. It is a combination of salt, pepper, smoked paprika, dried rosemary, garlic powder and stirred the fries all together with some melted bacon fat. I mean come on, who doesn’t like bacon fat? For the fries we baked them at 425 for about 45 minutes( we like our fries crispy)  We also used the same seasoning combination on some Brussels sprouts that we cut in half and baked those as well. The Brussels sprouts had a little char to them. Exactly the way we like them.
